AmeriCorps Utah Summer Math Tutoring Initiative
Supporting Students this Summer

The AmeriCorps Utah Summer Math Tutoring Initiative will begin in June of 2021. Schools, after-school programs, and nonprofit organizations can apply to host AmeriCorps members that will serve in a full-time capacity from June - September of 2021.
In this program, AmeriCorps members will directly tutor students using the K-12 Mathematics Personalized Learning Software provided by the Utah STEM Action Center. This software is individualized, self-adapting, engaging, and provides frequent feedback while addressing core standards in math. 95% of teachers and administrators report that this software had a positive impact on students’ math performance (teacher and administrator commitment, support, and feedback averaged from three years of survey information).

AmeriCorps is a national service program. AmeriCorps members serve with organizations in Utah that are addressing critical community needs. Learn more at

UServeUtah is the state agency that manages the AmeriCorps State programs across Utah.  UServeUtah was created by state statute in 1994 and has worked with AmeriCorps programs around the state to engage thousands of AmeriCorps members.  UServeUtah provides oversight, technical assistance, and program development to programs.  UServeUtah also supports AmeriCorps members through events like the annual AmeriCorps Member Gathering and the AmeriCorps Alumni Network of Utah.
