Debra Hoyt

UServeUtah Commissioner | Senior Philanthropy Coordinator, Dominion Energy

Debra began her career with Questar 28 years ago and has managed corporate philanthropy and community outreach efforts since 2008. In September 2016, Questar joined Dominion Energy—a company 10 times their size and one of the largest utilities in the country—resulting in Debra immediately becoming part of Corporate Affairs and reporting up through Richmond, Virginia, the company’s headquarters. As part of the corporate philanthropy team, she continues to oversee the same geographic area (Utah, southwest Wyoming, northwest Colorado and southeast Idaho), now known as the Western Region of the company’s 16-state footprint.
During her career with Questar, Debra managed several core focus areas of the company including the Questar Education and Arts Foundations (which continue to exist today as sub-Foundations of the much larger Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation); the corporate volunteer program; the grassroots Employee Political Involvement Program and Employee Political Action Committee; plus the annual company party.
She currently serves as a commissioner and vice-chair for UServeUtah, the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism, and is a long-standing planning committee member for the Salt Lake Chamber’s annual Women and Business conference. Over  he years Debra has served on numerous boards, committees, catalyst teams and panels related to the nonprofit and business communities plus mentored many employees through the company’s six-month-long mentor program. She is a member of several Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and advises all Western Region ERG’s as they develop community giving and outreach plans.
Debra graduated from LDS Business College, has been married for 31 years with an 18-year old son, plus a German shepherd. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
