Mike Moon is the Associate Director of the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism. He has been with the Commission since 2019. The Commission’s purpose is to enable individuals, communities, and organizations in Utah to benefit from the service, power, skills, and passion of volunteers. Prior to joining the Commission, Mike spent 15 years advancing community engagement work in higher education. One of his biggest thrills in life is helping people understand how they can be engaged in their community regardless of their interests or career path. Mike is a two-time AmeriCorps member alum. He has worked with rural, suburban, and urban cities in Utah and around the globe and is thrilled to be in this role that combines so many of his passions and skills.
