Homeless Street Outreach

Bear River Association of Governments in Cache County, Logan

We have a great opportunity for interested volunteers! We are in need of people who can assist us with street outreach. Tasks include locating homeless households, verifying homelessness, issuing a quick survey to those who are found, and reporting survey results back to BRAG. There are also opportunities to participate in gathering donations, putting together hygiene kits, creating community awareness, and mentoring for folks looking for jobs and places to live. Feed the Homeless – Volunteers Needed for Good Samaritan Project

We need volunteers every day — up to ten people (including chaperones) to prepare food. We also need door hosts to distribute food and drink. Volunteers must be 18 or older. If under 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Spice To Go Volunteer

International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City

Scope of Volunteer Work: Spice to Go is one of IRC SLC Spice Kitchen Incubator program’s initiatives. Through this program, we provide the community with the opportunity to order ready-made meals to enjoy on Thursday evenings. Spotlighting a different entrepreneur each week, the origin of cuisine changes every time a meal is ordered. 

This volunteer opportunity currently takes place at Square Kitchen each Thursday located at 751 West 800 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84104.

Become a volunteer at the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site

St. George Dinosaur Discover Site

There are many ways to become involved with this marvelous site! No experience necessary! Training is part of the volunteer’s unique experience! We have a couple of different positions available:

  • Greeters
    These volunteers welcome the public to the facility and provide handouts and information. Our greeters also monitor access to the facility and help protect exhibits and natural resources.
  • Docent (Guides)
    These volunteers provide educational tours of the facility to the general public and to special groups. Volunteers attend training meetings and will have the opportunity to learn about geology and paleontology in the area.
  • Preparation Lab Volunteers
    These volunteers are needed on occasion. Please contact the museum for more information.
