AmeriCorps members fill critical needs in communities across the country, including throughout the state of Utah. Members serve in full or part-time positions during a year. Currently, many AmeriCorps members are responding to COVID-19 and are a valuable resource to their communities. 

Upon completion of their service, members receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay for college, graduate school, or to pay back qualified student loans. Some member positions also have access to other benefits such as health insurance, child care, training, and student loan forbearance during their service. Most member positions also receive a modest annual living allowance depending on the terms of their program.
